How do I apply for multiple positions at GameStop?
Once you completed the application process, you are able to apply for multiple positions. You must select the specific positions that you are interested in and check the “apply” square.

Can I still apply to a GameStop, even if there isn’t a specific position currently available?
Yes. By completing the application process you will remain active in our database for one year.

How can I learn which jobs are currently available?
You can review our current openings by selecting your interest (stores, corporate office or distribution centers) on our main Careers page.

How do I find the nearest store?
Please use our Store Locator on the GameStop home page to find a store closest to you.

How can I apply for hourly retail opportunities?
You can pick up an application at any GameStop location or download the application. Then visit GameStop location(s) that most interest you and submit your application.

What is the minimum age requirement to work at GameStop?
You must be at least 16 years old to be eligible for employment at GameStop.

When does holiday hiring begin?
We begin looking for seasonal game advisors around October 1 each year.

How do I apply for a position in a store that’s not yet open?
You can visit any local GameStop to pick up an application. 

Do I need prior retail experience to apply?
Although we prefer candidates to have some prior retail experience, it is not required to apply.

Do you accept unsolicited search firm and agency submissions?
GameStop does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.

What is GameStop’s growth strategy?
A:  It’s an exciting time at GameStop, and we look forward to the future as we continue to build a world-class company for an expanding universe of players. We intend to open 600 stores in 2008 with more than half of this total coming from our U.S. operations.

You should receive an auto-reply verifying we received your resume. If we have an open position that matches your qualifications, a member of our Human Resources team will contact you.

What should I wear to my interview?
We operate in a business casual environment, so we do not expect you to wear a suit.  Of course, if you want to wear a suit, that’s fine, but just know we won’t be wearing one.

What does GameStop sell?
GameStop is the world's largest video game and entertainment software retailer. We carry one of the largest assortments of new and used video game hardware, video game software and accessories, PC entertainment software, and related products, including action figures and strategy guides. We carry a constantly changing selection of more than 5,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) of electronic game merchandise in most stores. In addition, we operate two web sites, at www.gamestop.com and www.ebgames.com, and publish Game Informer, one of the industry's largest circulation multi-platform video game magazines, with over 2,200,000 subscribers.

How many stores does GameStop operate? Under what names?
GameStop has more than 5,000 stores in operation worldwide. Our stores operate primarily under the names of GameStop and EB Games. Our mall stores carry primarily new video game hardware, video game software and accessories, which we refer to as video game products, and PC entertainment software, as well as a limited selection of used video game products. Our strip center stores carry a balanced mix of new and used video game products and, in selected stores, PC entertainment software. Our used video game products provide our customers with an opportunity to trade in their used video game products for store credits and apply those credits towards other merchandise.

At GameStop, we have a commitment to being a good neighbor and contributing to non-profit initiatives that support communities. This support takes the form of national community partnerships and employee volunteerism. Our national partnerships with Do Something! and the Make-A-Wish Foundation allows GameStop to maximize its impact across the country. For this reason, we are not taking unsolicited donation requests at this time.
